Background: This research aims to identify how blockchain technology could support the ecological embeddedness of coffee supply chain. Ecological is a subset circular economy (CE) that demands legitimacy through design changes product, production and/or packaging for benefits economic actors and environment. in contrast with as public relations exercise. Blockchain digital transformation not fully conceptualized respect chain implementation related strategy formulation, particularly context sustainability. Furthermore, integration consumers into CE remains well understood or researched, main focus being cycling resources. Methods: employs qualitative case study methodology first business USA use an exemplar. Gap analysis then applied be used advance from current state more sustainable one. Results: Findings indicate ecologically embedded example studied. Conclusions: The extension consider by-products valorizable waste throughout assets would coffee.
